
For the second consecutive season, KNIA/KRLS Radio is honoring area basketball athletes for their individual accomplishments by selecting an all-boys and girls team. Those selected are from the seven schools covered on air (Pella, Knoxville, Pella Christian, Indianola, Norwalk, Pleasantville, and PCM) and two Class 1A schools in Marion County (Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas) receiving regular coverage, and voted on by the six regular play-by-play broadcasters of the schools.
Here is the 2021 Boys Team:
Kieren Nichols, Knoxville
Nichols was a 2nd team All-State honoree in 3A. Nichols finished his career as the second all-time leading scorer in Knoxville boys history with 1,499 points. His 19.8 points per game ranked as 5th best in the class this winter.

Grant Nelson, Pella
Nelson was a 1st team All-State selection in Class 3A from the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association. Nelson was the captain of the 2021 3A All-Tournament team after leading Pella to the school’s third state championship. Nelson finished his senior season with the most three pointers made in Class 3A (85), shooting 44.7% from beyond-the-arc.

Karl Miller, Pella
Miller was a 2nd team All-State selection from the IPSWA. Miller was also one of Iowa’s best three-point shooters, as his 79 makes was just behind Nelson’s for most in 3A, hitting 42.5% of his attempts.

Eric Mulder, Pella Christian
Mulder was a first-team All-Little Hawkeye Conference selection and an All-Substate honoree in Class 2A by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association. Eric averaged 14.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per contest.

Levi Schelhaas, Pella Christian
Schelhaas was a 2nd team All-LHC honoree in his junior season. Schelhaas averaged 12.6 points per game and 3.1 assists per contest.

Drew Kingery, Indianola
Kingery was a 1st team All-Little Hawkeye Conference selection and a Class 4A All-Substate honoree from the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association. Kingery averaged 18 points per game, 12th best in Class 4A, in his sophomore season.

Caden Rehmeier, Indianola
Rehmeier was a 1st team All-Little Hawkeye Conference selection as a senior. He averaged 14.4 points per game and his 63 three pointers made was 3rd most in Class 4A.

Cole Tunender, Norwalk
Tunender was a 2nd team All-Little Hawkeye Conference selection in 2021. He averaged 11 points per game to lead the Warriors in his senior season.

Mason Scheve, Pleasantville
Scheve was a 1st team All-West Central Conference honoree this winter and a Class 2A All-Substate choice from the Iowa Basketball Coaches association. He averaged 18.8 points per game in his junior season.
