The Central College men’s and women’s track and field squads had 11 individuals receive All-Central Region recognition from the USTFCCCA Friday afternoon. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region or be part of a top-3 relay team.

Conference MVP Brock Lewis qualified in the triple jump and long jump. Freshman sprinter Joe Stein was recognized in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes. Lucas Heitz and Nick Thompson achieved all-region status in the pentathlon. Drake Lewis was honored in the high jump and Tanner Johnson qualified in the pole vault.

On the women’s side, Holly Forrester also qualified in the triple jump and long jump. Mary Gray and Kiki Pingel both reached all-region status in the pentathlon while Pingel also earned it in the 60-meter hurdles. Weight thrower Kennedy Morris and high jumper Malory Jones also earned all-region recognition.

Central begins the outdoor season with the Dutch Invitational April 1-2 in Pella.
