This fall, the Twin Cedars Football Squad will get a new district with a couple of familiar opponents. Joining the Sabers will be Baxter, BGM, Grand View Christian, Montezuma, Woodward Academy, and arch rival Melcher-Dallas. The final team on that list is likely the most important since the two teams, after not being in the same district last fall, are guaranteed to play each other for the next two seasons. Something that Sabers Coach Cam Parker says is a great thing.

Parker:
“That’s huge, and I played in the game four times and it means so much for our fans and alumni. It brings out the best in both teams when they get together.”

Melcher-Dallas currently holds a 17-11 lead in the series and pitched the first shutout since 1998 in the game this season by a score of 46-0 over the Sabers. The schedule and non-district games will be announced later.
