The Simpson College Debate Team took first place at the Pi Kappa Delta National Debate Team Sweepstakes Championship this past weekend, their fourth championship in six years. The team competed in the virtual tournament against 79 other colleges, including 520 students in 18 different events. Simpson also placed third in the combined speech and debate sweepstakes, their best finish since 2019 where they also placed third. For individual winners, click below.
