Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has released over $15 million in CARES Act funds to go towards rural broadband expansion, of which Warren County will receive a grant for the Warren County a portion of a grant to help the distribution of internet services. Omnitel Communications was awarded a grant worth $884,026.84 to help with rural broadband expansion in both Madison and Warren Counties. Omnitel Communications is a local television, fiber internet, and phone company based out of Truro in Madison County, and serves Warren County residents. Fourteen grants were awarded across the state as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funds.
