45-year-old Shawn Forney of Ottumwa has pleaded guilty to felony forgery charges after a spree of using bad checks and a fake name in Marion County last summer.

In all three incidents, he used identification for and signed the name of Brad Johnson.

Forney faces three counts of forgery, with each count carrying a maximum sentence of five years. Sentencing will occur at a later date.
