Both of Pleasantville’s track teams will be opening their seasons at fellow Marion County foes as the boys will open at Pella Christian, while the girls will be at PCM.

The Trojans’ boys will be competing against county foes Pella Christian and Knoxville as well as Colfax-Mingo and Davis County in their first meet of the season. Coach Dillon Daniel tells KNIA Sports that his goal is to get a read on the best positions to get everybody.

“With the young squad I do have, it is just putting people in events, getting some times because it is the first time in a high school track meet for some of these athletes.”

As for the Trojans’ girls, they will travel to PCM to compete with the Mustangs and Pella Christian in the PCM Early Bird Invitational. For Coach Aaron Fichter, he is hoping to help get his young, upstart team off to a fast start.

Both meets are scheduled to begin this afternoon at 4:30 PM.
