The Norwalk and Knoxville girls tennis teams battled windy conditions Tuesday afternoon in Norwalk, as the Panthers squeaked past the Warriors 6-5 in a dual that came down to the final match.

Norwalk got singles victories from Madison Haskell, Sami Aagard, and Charlene Peters, while Knoxville got wins by Olivia Masdaam, Josalin McKeever and Alyssa Vaske. McKeever says it was great to get back on the court after two years.

Knoxville’s doubles wins came from Masdaam/McKeever, Vaske/Jadyn Streigle, and Kate Schneider/Elle Ensor, while Norwalk got doubles wins from Aagard/Peters and Bianca Blakley/Katie Thielen.

Norwalk returns to action April 5th at home against Clarke, while Knoxville returns to action Thursday at Pella.

The Norwalk boys tennis team was also in action Tuesday, falling 10-1 on the road to Ankeny Centennial. The Warriors return home Thursday for a dual against Ankeny.
