PCM Girls Place Second in Early Bird Invitational
For the first time since 2019, the PCM Mustangs girls’ track and field teams competed, and they placed second with a total of 102.5 points, finishing one spot behind Davis County.
Senior Celeste Wageman finished 1st in the high jump with a height of 15 feet. Fellow senior Margo Chipps finishing first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:13.84. Also, Chipps came out 1st in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.32 seconds. As a team, PCM finished 1st in the 4×800 relay with a time of 11:27.
The Mustangs will have a full week to prepare for their next meet, which is a home co-ed meet next Tuesday. For full results, click the link below.
PCM Boys Track Takes 2nd at East Marshall
PCM’s boys track team finished second with a total of 127 points in their first meet since 2019, behind only Dike-New Hartford.
The Mustangs finished first in four team events, including the sprint medley, distance medley, 4×200 relay, and 4×100 relay. In addition, Jacob VanWinkle placed first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. VanWinkle was also part of the 4×200 relay and 4×100 relay teams that finished first. Justin Maggard finished second in the 200 meter dash and August Stock finished second in the 400 meter hurdles.
The Mustangs’ next week will be Thursday, when they travel to conference rival Roland-Story for a road meet.
