The Indians girls track and field squad will make the road trip to Ankeny, facing off against six other schools around the Des Moines metro area as well as county rival Carlisle at 4:30.

And the Indians boys squad is hosting their first meet of the season, and the first meet on the new track that was installed over the summer. Head coach Matt Oliver tells KNIA News he has a deep squad this year.

“I can tell you we are as deep as we have ever been in my nine years here in the sprinting events. We’ve had some guys come out this year that we think can really help us so we will definitely scratch and claw for whatever we can get, and I expect us to be up there in the conference at the end.”

The Indianola home track meet starts at 4:30.
