One of the highlights of Tulip Time week in Pella this spring is the return of an in-person race for the 2021 Klompen Classic. The event traditionally kicks off the celebration each May, and will be back on the 5th prior to festivities beginning Thursday. Director of Crossroads Jim Hibma says he’s thankful not only for the race to return, but for the support it generates for their many programs. Hibma says their non-profit organization has been uniquely busy, trying to navigate the challenges of the pandemic while supporting people impacted hard by closures related to COVID-19.
