The Knoxville Public Library will participate in celebrating National Library Week April 4th through 10th. As part of the week’s festivities, National Library Outreach Day will take place on April 7th. Director Roslin Thompson says this day will help celebrate the library’s overall mission of community engagement.
“It used to be called “Bookmobile Day.” But our services go beyond just the bookmobile that some bigger libraries may have. We have a really good outreach program. For example, we have delivery to homebound residents. We also deliver every two weeks to the nursing homes. We do outreach in different ways. So stop by and see us sometime during that week.”
