Both the Central College men’s and women’s cross country teams earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-academic team honors as announced by the USTFCCCA late last week. Unlike previous years, there were no individual honors awarded by the USTFCCCA due to COVID-19.
To qualify for the distinction, teams must compile a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or greater and compete in at least five different varsity competitions with at least five runners representing their school at each meet.
The women’s team compiled a 3.34 GPA to earn all-academic honors for the 11th year in a row and 14th time overall. The men’s team had a 3.101 GPA and earned the award for the sixth time in the last seven years.
