PCM Golf Opens Their Season at Two Different Locations
For the first time since 2019, PCM’s golf teams will take the course for their first meet of the season as the boys travel to Lynnville-Sully, while the girls take a trip to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
The Mustangs boys will compete in a quadrangular with the host, Albia, and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont for their first meet of the season. PCM will be bringing five seniors back from two years ago, including Andrew Mitchell and Gatlin Boell. Coach Mike Cardin tells KRLS Sports that he is looking to feel things out for the first meet of the season.
“First couple of meets, I am going to be a little different than what they have had from coaches before. I got some rules that I want them to do that I am pretty sure they haven’t done before.”
PCM’s girls will be in a dual meet with Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont at the Oskaloosa Public Golf Course for their first competition of 2021. The Mustangs will be led on the course by senior Kylie Risius.
Both meets will begin at 4:00 PM.
PCM Has First Co-Ed Track Meet at Home
PCM will have their first co-ed track meet of 2021 on their home track as they look to continue momentum from their previous meets.
The girls’ finished second in their home meet while the boys finished second at their invitationals in Roland-Story and East Marshall. The Mustangs girls’ finished behind Davis County, while PCM’s boys finished behind both hosts in their first two meets. Both of PCM’s squads will compete against Marion County foe Knoxville, and the girls will also compete with Twin Cedars.
The meet will begin at PCM High School at 4:30 PM.
