The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams are in action today. The boys will continue their busy start to the season on the road at Des Moines Lincoln, while the girls are set to host the Indian Relays, competing for the first time on the new track. Girls track senior Ellie McCombs tells KNIA Sports after not having a season last year, spending time with the squad means more than ever.

“I always look forward to just being with the team. We have such a great environment and we have great coaches, and it’s always a fun time with everybody. I love the memories that we make, it’s not comparable to anything else.”

Action starts for the boys at 4pm, with the Indians Relays beginning at 4:30pm.
