The Knoxville City Council approved an agreement with Iowa Economic Development for a downtown assessment. Interim City Manager Heather Ussery says this will take place in early May, and asks all residents to complete a survey to supplement the analysis.
“Five members of the Iowa Economic Development Authority will be coming down to do the assessment. You may have seen the community survey. If you haven’t filled that out, I would encourage residents to complete that survey. It’s a brief survey of what our residents would like to see in our downtown, what it makes you feel now and the changes you’d like to see”
The organization will deliver an oral report on the observations and recommendations on the final day of the assessment, and will deliver a written report within six weeks. The Knoxville City Council approved this service for a cost of $2,500.
