PCM Soccer Loses in Rainy Match to Chariton, Travel to Atlantic Today
PCM’s soccer team dropped to 0-2 Thursday night with another home loss to Chariton, 5-1, and then they turn around and play at Atlantic tonight.
The Mustangs fell behind early to the Chargers 2-0 with two goals in a four-minute span, before Junior Tyler Kuecker netted a penalty shot goal with 17 minutes left in the first half. 2-1 was the closest PCM would get, however, as Chariton put three more goals on the board. Two of them went through freshman goalkeeper Alex Egland’s legs. Kuecker states that it will take time for the young team to get better.
“We lost 17 seniors last year, so we have a very young team moving forward. And they just have to learn how to play.”
PCM is back in action tonight as they take a long road trip to take on Atlantic in their next match. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM.
