Pella Girls Edge Bluejays in Defensive Soccer Showdown
The Pella Girls Soccer team earned a 1-0 win in a defensive battle with Bondurant-Farrar Thursday night. In total, Head Coach Mark Howard says there were only seven shots on goal between the teams, with Erin Nossaman capitalizing on a scrum from a corner kick to score the only tally in the 28th minute. Goalkeeper Hailey Van Houweling preserved the victory with a save on a penalty shot in the 2nd half. Pella is 2-0 and next has their home opener Tuesday vs. Norwalk.
