Pleasantville Girls Track Finish 7th at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont
Pleasantville’s girls’ track team struggled in their meet in Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Thursday night, finishing with 57.5 total points.
The Trojans had three top two finishes, which included one first-place finish. Kaylee Hodenfield took first in shot put with a length of 33’9”. Sierra Hallman finished second in discus with a length of 86’6”. The Trojans also finished second in the 400 Meter Hurdle behind Marion County opponent PCM.

Pleasantville will be back in action Tuesday when they compete with PCM again at Pella Christian. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.
Pleasantville Boys Golf @ Knoxville Preview
Pleasantville’s boys’ golf team will compete in their first road triangular of the season when they travel to Pine Knolls Golf Course to compete against Knoxville and Carlisle.
The Trojans’ finished second in their first quadrangular of the season to only ACGC with a score of 189. Pleasantville’s lowest scorer Monday was Carter Ollom with a score of 40, just one stroke behind the lowest golfer for the meet. The Trojans will hope to get lower scores after four golfers finished with a 50 or above.
The meet will begin in Knoxville at 4:00 PM.
Pleasantville Boys Track @ Baxter Preview
Pleasantville’s boys track team will compete with fellow Marion County foe PCM when they travel to Baxter for their next meet of the season.
The Trojans are coming off finishing tied for second with North Mahaska in their last meet at Lynnville-Sully Tuesday. Pleasantville had two first place finishers in field events with Jake DeJoode in discus and Matthew Kauffman in shot put. Coach Dillon Daniel tells KNIA Sports that he is looking to improve throughout the course of the season.
“We got to get in a good flow in our relays. So clean up some of the little things and I think the area we need to improve on the most is relays.”
The meet will begin at Baxter High School at 4:30 PM.
