PCM Soccer Gets First Win of Season at Atlantic
PCM’s soccer team got their first win of the season when they knocked off Atlantic on the road, 3-0.
The Mustangs were led by Tyler Kuecker and Carson Vandelune in the victory. Kuecker scored two goals and had one assist. Vandelune had one goal and one assist in the victory, which led to the Mustangs’ first win of the season.
PCM’s soccer team will be back in action Tuesday when they come back home for their first conference match of the season against Nevada. The match will begin at 7:30 PM.
PCM Boys Track Tops Meet at Baxter For First Win
PCM’s boys track team finished first in a meet for the first time in 2021, finishing with a total of 134 points, 13 higher than second-place Bondurant-Farrar.
The Mustangs finished with six first-place finishes, including two individual and four team events. Here is a list of first-place finishes for PCM:
Jacob VanWinkle – 100 Meter Dash
Landon Fenton – 400 Meter Dash
Andrew Mitchell, Kaden Hale, VanWinkle, Fenton – 800 Sprint Medley
Mitchell, Justin Maggard, Gatlin Boell, VanWinkle – 4×100 Meter Relay
Maggard, Trey Broderson, Gavin Fenton, Boell – 4×110 Meter Shuttle Hurdle
Hale, Mitchell, Boell, Beau Webb – Distance Medley
Coach Collin Harrison tells KRLS Sports that he is looking for his team to improve in field events as the season continues.
“I think we need to get a little more out of our long jump. Our throwers are just gonna keep improving. They are all completely new, so if they keep throwing they can start improving as well.”
