The Bravo Concert Series at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center has announced it has held its last performance. Randy Flack with the organization says that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers determined that it was impossible for the series to go on due to the uncertainty with the pandemic, and the need for volunteers to run the sound equipment and work with the performers.
“I don’t think anyone other than us realized how much time it takes to work with the groups that come in to perform. Not only the performance in the evening, but the preparation, making sure they have the equipment they need, and then spending an entire day setting the equipment up, the sound check, the extra work behind the scenes that goes on. Without that volunteer assistance, we just decided that we couldn’t go on.”
People holding tickets will get a refund. How refunds will be distributed will be announced at a future date.
