Pleasantville Coed Golf Recap @ Woodward-Granger, Girls Have Home Meet With PCM, Boys Have Meet With Melcher-Dallas
Pleasantville’s golf teams performed well at Woodward-Granger as the boys finished with a 209 while the girls finished with a 226 in their coed meet.
Every one of the Trojans’ boys finished with a score in the 50s in their meet at Woodward-Granger. Pleasantville was led by freshman Ryder Thill with a score of 50. Jaxx Lovell, who was Pleasantville’s low scorer in their last meet at Knoxville, had a 51. The Trojans’ boys will be back in action today for a quadrangular with Melcher-Dallas, Southeast Warren, and Martensdale-St. Mary’s. The meet will begin at Shady Oaks in Ackworth at 4:00 PM.
As for the Trojans’ girls, Kristen Roe finished as the meet medalist with a score of 50, six strokes lower than the next lowest. Breanna Benge and Lauren Cook each had a 59, while Cheyenne Pagel rounded out the night with a 61. Pleasantville’s girls’ will be back in action today for a quadrangular with PCM, Southeast Warren, and Martensdale-St.Mary’s. The meet will begin at Pleasantville Golf and Country Club at 4:00 PM.
Pleasantville Coed Track Travels to Marion County Foe Pella Christian
Pleasantville’s track teams will be competing with PCM and will be back on the road travelling to fellow Marion County foe Pella Christian for a coed track meet today.
The Trojans’ boys are coming off finishing third in the Baxter Bolts Relays Friday, where they finished third in the meet behind Bondurant-Farrar and PCM with a total of 84 points. Pleasantville had one first place finish in the meet, which was Edwin Escalante in the High Jump.
The Trojans’ girls are coming off finishing seventh in the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Girls Invitational, including one first place finish. Kaylee Hodenfield finished first in the shot put in the invitational Thursday.
The meet will begin at Pella Christian High School at 4:30 PM.
