The Simpson Storm and Central Dutch’s softball teams will square off in an American Rivers Conference Doubleheader at the Simpson Softball Complex today.

Simpson is coming into the doubleheader with a record of 7-11, including 5-7 in American Rivers Conference play. Simpson is coming off getting swept by Coe, giving up a total of 30 runs over three games, despite getting good offensive production. The Storm are currently 3-3 at home, with their three wins coming in a series sweep of Buena Vista.

Central is coming into the doubleheader with a record of 6-5, including a 4-3 record in American Rivers Conference play. The Dutch just knocked off Coe Tuesday night with a 6-5 victory in eight innings. The second game was suspended due to darkness. Central is currently 3-2 on the road.

The doubleheader will be at the Simpson Softball Complex today at 3:00 PM. The games will be broadcast on the KNIA3 stream on kniakrls.com with Alex Koch on the call.
