PCM Girls Golf Finish 2nd at Pleasantville
PCM’s girls’ golf team finished second in their second meet of the season, finishing with a score of 277.
Eleigh Davis led the way in terms of scoring for the Mustangs, finishing with a score of 58. It was also the second time Davis finished as the lead golfer for PCM. Tori Peterson was second on the team in scoring with a 65. Riley Johannes had a 75 and Deanna McHargue had a 79.
The Mustangs will be back in action Monday for a mid-afternoon meet at Bondurant-Farrar. The meet will begin at 2 PM.
PCM Boys Track Finish 4th, Girls 5th at Pella Christian
At the Pella Christian Coed Track Invitational, PCM’s boys track team finished fourth and the girls’ team finished fifth in their second coed meet of the season.
The Mustangs boys finished with three top-two finishes, all coming in team events. PCM finished second in the 440 meter shuttle hurdle relay with a time of 1:06.71. The Mustangs also finished second in the 800 meter sprint medley with a time of 1:40.39. The final event where PCM finished second was in the 1600 meter distance medley relay with a time of 3:54.94.
PCM’s girls finished with three top-two finishes, including two individual first-place finishes. Margo Chipps finished first in the 400 meter hurdles and second in the 100 meter hurdles with times of 1:09.52 and 16.68, respectively. Celeste Wagaman finished first in the high jump with a height of 4’10”.

The Mustangs’ girls will be back in action Thursday for a meet at Guthrie Center, while the boys will travel for a meet Friday at ADM.
PCM Soccer Throttled in Conference Opener
PCM’s soccer team’s conference season got off to a very rough start as they were shut out at home against Nevada, 10-0.
The Mustangs fell behind 1-0 after four minutes and never was able to get back into the game. After 20 minutes, PCM fell behind 5-0 and it was 8-0 at halftime. PCM was shut out of a match for the first time this season. The Mustangs fall to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
PCM will hope to get back on track for a match at Collins-Maxwell Thursday. The match will begin at 7:30 PM.
