On Tuesday, the Pella Christian boys tennis team played their first varsity match in nine years when they hosted Newton.

Isaac Natelborg is one of ten athletes suiting up for the Eagles this spring, and says it was a special occasion to try and bring the program back — and it’s up to this group to lay the foundation for what could be in the years to come.

Pella Christian will return to action on the road at Oskaloosa on Tuesday. The athletes of the Eagles boys tennis team were featured on this week’s Radio Sports Page, which airs every Wednesday at 6 p.m. and Thursday at 10 a.m. on 92.1 KRLS, with interviews available on-demand at KNIAKRLS.com following the Wednesday show.
