The City of Indianola will continue two major road construction projects this spring and summer, the extension of E Iowa Ave and the Downtown Streetscape Project. City of Indianola Public Works Director Akhilesh “AP” Pal tells KNIA News both projects are partially funded by federal grants, which helps the city be able to do concurrent projects along with the larger ones.

“There are other minor projects such as Valley Place reconstruction which is currently in the design phase. There are bigger projects for next fiscal year which begins July 1st such as South K Street and Hillcrest Ave planning stages with a contract for engineering consultants to design the construction of those streets.”
