The Twin Cedars Girls Track and Field Squad will be heading to Colo-NESCO on Friday for a track meet. Discus thrower Ali Mockenhaupt already has a 2nd place finish at the PCM meet on April 6th with a throw of 84 feet six inches. Coach Cam Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Mockenhaupt is doing well in just her first season throwing the discus.

Parker:
“She just picked up a discus this year and wanted to try it. She threw it 84 feet, PRed by a few feet, and the smile on her face made it all worth it as a coach.”

Currently Mockenhaupt has the 2nd best discus throw in the Bluegrass Conference. Parker adds she hopes to contend for that title later this season.
