A Pella Christian High School student was one of thirty Iowa high school seniors earning a $2,000 scholarship for college through the 2020–2021 Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge: Senior Scholarship sponsored by Iowa Student Loan.

Students qualified by demonstrating their understanding of important college financing and planning concepts. Nearly 4,000 Iowa high school seniors registered for the scholarship between Oct. 19, 2020, and Feb. 26, 2021. Of those, more than 1,200 completed two online financial literacy tools and a related assessment to be considered for one of 30 college scholarships.

Participating students completed Student Loan Game Plan and the Return on College Investment tool, both of which are available at www.IowaStudentLoan.org. The tools are designed to help students create strategies to reduce college debt and maximize the financial returns they see on their investment in higher education.
