Pleasantville Girls Golf Finish 2nd in Home Meet

In their home meet, Pleasantville’s girls’ golf team finished second in a meet for the first time this season with a score of 227, 12 strokes behind the meet winner Carlisle.

The Trojans’ low scorer of the meet was Kristen Roe, who finished third overall in the meet with a score of 53. The other top two golfers in the meet for Pleasantville were Breanna Benge and Cheyenne Pagel with scores of 55 and 59, respectively. Roe and Benge finished in the top four in the meet. Roe states that she thinks her driving was good, but her chipping and putting needs improving.

“I’m driving a lot better this season than I did freshman year since we obviously didn’t have a season last year. So I think that is a good thing.”

Pleasantville’s next meet will be a home meet, which is Monday at 4:00 PM at the Pleasantville Country Club.

Pleasantville Girls Track @ Central Decatur Recap

Pleasantville’s girls’ track team finished fifth at Central Decatur with a total of 69 points; they were one point behind the fourth-place finisher, who was the host.

The Trojans had seven total top-three finishes, including three individual and four team events. Here is a look at the top-three finishers for Pleasantville:

Pleasantville will be back in action for a co-ed track meet on the road at conference rival Van Meter Monday. The meet will begin at 4:30 PM.

Pleasantville Boys Track Finish 15th @ Saydel

Pleasantville’s boys’ track team finished 15th at Saydel, just one spot away from the last place in the meet.

The Trojans had one athlete finish in the top four in an individual event Thursday night, who was Matthew Kauffman in shot put. Kauffman finished with a throw length of 44’1”. Pleasantville had a total of nine points.
