The Twin Cedars Boys and Girls Track and Field Squads head to the Colo-NESCO Invitational for a meet tonight. The meet will be hosted at Nevada High School. Coach Cam Parker has several athletes to choose from on the girls squad. One athlete who has impressed so far is Cheyenne Bruns. He says Bruns got off to a great start in the first meet of the season and that set the tone for the rest of the team and season.

Parker:
“Never looked back and she came back and ran the open 400 and ran the anchor of the shuttle hurdles team coming back to win at the very end. She has that confidence and she wants to always get ahead.”

Not only has Bruns seen a big improvement in track and field, she also raised her scoring average in basketball by over five points, and was a major contributor to the cross country squad this fall.
