A busy week of Central Athletics continued Friday. The women’s tennis team played in their spring home opener, and fell 6-3 to Simpson. The wins came from the doubles teams of Sarah Schirm/Alex Griggs and Maddie Hartley/Bronwyn Metcalf. The singles win was from Macy Scharff. Head Coach Ryun Ferrell says that his team still performed at a high level with a changing lineup.

Several events are on the schedule today, including a home softball doubleheader against Dubuque. Trevor Castle has the call on 92.1 KRLS beginning with pregame coverage at 11:55 a.m.

The women’s golf team is at Wartburg. The men’s golf team heads to Millikin. The track and field teams head to Crete, NE for the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic. Men’s tennis is at Nebraska Wesleyan at Noon, baseball is at Dubuque for a 1:00 doubleheader, the soccer teams are at Wartburg with women’s action starting at 1:00, followed by men’s, and the football team hosts an exhibition against Buena Vista at 7:00.
