The City of Indianola received a lone bid on the Square Streetscape Project earlier this week, a bid by Absolute Concrete Inc. for over $9.6 million, well over the $6.8 million projected by city engineers. The Indianola City Council will have a public hearing on Monday regarding the next steps in the project, which include rejecting the bid and rebidding the project at a later date, awarding the contract and using possible funds from the American Rescue Plan, using Local Option Sales Tax funding, or issuing additional bonds.
