The Pleasantville Youth Initiative is raising funds to purchase a new building, and is holding a Building Project Community Information meeting on Friday, April 30th. Co-founder Emily Caulkins says this is a great opportunity to help further the organization’s mission.
“There’s an old grocery store that’s been empty for a number of years, and we have an opportunity to take up some space there for a headquarters for our ministry. One of our board members has purchased the building as a whole, and she has a boutique in a section of it and selling the other section, so we are looking to raise funds to put the building in.”
The organization’s goal is to raise $1 million, and will reveal fundraising plans at this meeting. It begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30th at Smokey Row in Pleasantville. Learn more about the organization here.
