indianola-3

A trio of Indianola sports squads are in action Monday. The Indianola girls golf team is heading to Veenker Golf Course in Ames to take on the Little Cyclones along with nine other schools. Tee-off is scheduled for 10am.

The Indianola girls track and field team is competing at Saydel High School for a meet. Head coach Kim Arndt tells KNIA News she thinks the Indians are developing into a competitive squad as the season goes on.

“We are ahead of where I thought we would be, I wasn’t sure how this team was going to come together. But we’ve been able to put together some nice relays, and we are good in the individual events. I’m happy with where we are going into the conference meet, and trying to put together the lineup to be the most competitive. It’s going to be tight.”

The Indians hit the track at 4:30pm.

And the Indianola girls soccer team looks to get back on track with a matchup out of conference play against Nevada. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm at Nevada High School.
