PCM Boys Golf Hosts Tournament
For the first time in 2021, #7 in class 2A PCM’s boys golf team will be hosting a tournament on their home course Monday.
The Mustangs are coming off winning a dual meet at Sigourney Friday night. PCM got a phenomenal performance overall from #19 Andrew Mitchell, who shot a season-low 36. The Mustangs also put up a season-low team score with a 171. PCM’s second-lowest golfer of the meet was a three-way tie for #12 Gatlin Boell, Gabe Lanphier, and Brayden Berger with a 45.
The tournament will begin at Gateway Recreation Center Monday at 1:00 PM.
PCM Boys Track Goes Back on the Road to BGM, Girls at Home
PCM’s track teams will get back to competing Monday as the boys go on the road to BGM, while the girls will have a home meet.
This will be the Mustangs’ boys first meet in almost two weeks after their meet early last week was cancelled due to inclement weather. The last time PCM was on the track was April 13 at Pella Christian. The Mustangs finished fourth in the meet with a total of 76 points, behind the host, Pella, and ADM.
PCM’s girls will be looking to continue competing at a higher level in their next meet after finishing fifth in their last meet at Roland-Story, behind the host, Norwalk, Gilbert, and North Polk. The Mustangs got second-place finishes from Margo Chipps in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Both meets will begin Monday at 4:30 PM.
PCM Soccer Looks for Revenge at Chariton
PCM’s soccer team will look to get back to their winning ways as they have a rematch with Chariton on the road Monday.
The Mustangs currently sit at 1-6 on the season and are in the midst of a four-game losing streak and have been shut out the last three matches. The last time PCM scored a goal was in a 5-2 loss to Central Iowa United. These two teams met once before, which ended up being a 5-1 loss for PCM, with their only goal scored by Tyler Kuecker.
The match will begin at Chariton at 7:30 PM.
