The dominating start to the 2021 season continued for the No. 2 in 1A Pella boys tennis team at their home invitational tournament Saturday at Caldwell Park.

Pella won the meet with 140 team points, and the singles champion of Lucas Heap and doubles winners in Jack Edwards and Vaughn Thompson. The duo of seniors have their eyes set on competing for a state championship both as a team and as a doubles pair, and say the competition they’ve faced at three invitational tournaments so far is preparing them for the stretch run.
