The Great Iowa Road Trip through Iowa State University Extension takes a route through the heart of the Red Rock Area this Friday and Saturday.
Visit Pella, the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Marion County Development Commission, and several Mahaska County organizations are partnering from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. those two days to feature 42 Marion and Mahaska County businesses and destinations in Pella, Knoxville, Leighton, New Sharon, and Oskaloosa.
Jill Vandevoort with Visit Pella says they’ve partnered with many of these groups over the years to highlight the special stores, non-profit organizations, lodging, and restaurants that make the region a unique tourist destination.
Those who participate in the Great Iowa Road Trip and fill out a passport with 12 stamps from the 42 locations with at least three stamps in each section will be submitted for prize drawings.
