Pella Schools Superintendent Greg Ebeling received recognition for his support of the fine arts programs in the district. Ebeling is the recipient of the 2021 Superintendent Outstanding Administrator Award from the Iowa Bandmasters Association. Ebeling has been the superintendent of the Pella Community School District since 2011. He was nominated by Director of Bands at Pella High School Dameon Place.

Per Place’s nomination, “Greg leads with confidence, kindness and passion for students. He is confident in his decision making capabilities, but he also seeks input from all stakeholders. During his time he has built incredible relationships within the community of Pella.”

Ebeling will be recognized with his award at the Iowa Bandmasters Awards Virtual Banquet at the 94th annual conference. At that same event, the Pella High School Concert Band will be performing, considered one of the highest honors an ensemble can receive in the state. This is the Pella High School 11/12 Concert Band’s fourth appearance at the Iowa Bandmasters Conference, having also performed in 1986, 1991, and 2015, after they were chosen by audition.
