The Indianola girls soccer team won a nail-biting overtime victory over Grinnell at the Indianola Stadium Tuesday evening 3-2. The Indians got ahead early 2-0 in the first half with goals from Megan Howard and Abby Jensen, but the Tigers crawled back to score a pair of goals in the second half to force the extra period, where the Indians got the game clinching goal from Macy Wente. The Indians improve to 4-4 on the season, and will next compete in a week against Oskaloosa.

The Indianola boys soccer team fell to Grinnell Tuesday evening on the road 2-0. The Indians are now 1-7 on the season and will play Perry tomorrow.

The Indianola girls tennis squad stayed undefeated in Little Hawkeye Conference play with a win over Pella Christian Tuesday 7-4. The Indians got wins in singles play from Melina Darrah, Aubree Freshly, Anna Jordan, and Hannah Price, then got wins in doubles from the pairings of Darrah/Jordan, Brynn Bishop/Keely Greubel, and Jordyn Gripp/Maren Haynes. The Indians are now 4-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play, and will next hit the courts in a pivotal matchup with Pella tomorrow.

And the Indianola boys track and field team won the Carlisle Wildcat Relays with 125.5 points. The Indians top finishers included:

The Indians next face off with some of the state’s best at Waukee tomorrow.
