Dutch Golfers Earn Team Victory at The Preserve at Honey Creek
The Pella boys golfers claimed victory in Moravia Thursday, shooting 332 to take the meet title. Will Simpson continued his meet medalist streak, with a one-over par 73 to win his third 1st place title in a row. Teammate Ayden Gordon had a top 10 mark at 81, with Thomas Tangen carding an 86 and AJ Hoekstra a 92.
Pella next heads to the Knoxville Invitational at Pine Knolls Country Club Saturday morning at 9:00.

Pella Boys Tennis Continues Flexing Muscle in Clean Sweep of Indianola
No. 3 in Class 1A, the Pella boys tennis team continued their demolition of the Little Hawkeye Conference and stayed undefeated after an 11-0 win on the road to Indianola. Pella had singles wins from Lucas Heap, Jack Edwards, Vaughn Thompson, Caleb Briggs, Jack Briggs, and Joshua Roozeboom, the last of whom had the only dramatic doubles match, winning in a tiebreaker with Cashen Thompson in the No. 4 Doubles spot. The undefeated Dutch boys tennis team is off until a home dual with Newton Tuesday.

Lady Dutch Fall in Battle with Indianola
The No. 5 in Class 1A Lady Dutch tennis team dropped its first match of the 2021 season, falling to now-conference leader Indianola 6-5 Thursday at Caldwell Park in Pella. The girls dropped three of four tiebreaker matches to the Indians, and lost four of the five doubles matches after taking a 4-2 lead following singles, with wins by Emily Blom, Amelia Poe, Allie Singer, and Willa Kelpe. Following their first dual loss of the season, the Lady Dutch tennis team will look to rebound at their home invitational tournament Saturday morning.

Pella Girls Soccer Falls in Ranked Matchup With Nevada
A matchup of ranked teams came to the road team Nevada Cubs, who came back to knock off the Pella girls at the City Soccer Complex Thursday. The No. 6 in 2A Lady Dutch took a 3-1 lead into halftime over the No. 10 in 1A Cubs, who flipped the script and scored three second half goals to surge past Pella, handing the green and white their 3rd loss of the season, all of which have come at home by one goal to ranked opponents in 2021. Erin Nossaman, Ashley Hardman, and Abby Warner all scored for the Lady Dutch. Pella drops to 6-3, and will try to regroup next Tuesday on the road to No. 11 in 2A Dallas Center-Grimes.
