Pleasantville Girls Golf Top Home Quadrangular

Pleasantville’s girls golf team came out on top Thursday in their home quadrangular with North Polk, Carlisle and Melcher-Dallas.

The Trojans finished with a score of 406, 21 strokes ahead of second-place North Polk. Breanna Benge finished as the lead golfer for the whole meet, which was an even 90. Kristen Roe finished second on Pleasantville and third overall with a 100. Lauren Cook was third on the Trojans with a 105, good for seventh overall.

Pleasantville’s next meet will be their conference tournament Monday at Woodward-Granger at 9:00 AM.

Pleasantville Girls Track Finish 8th @ West Marshall

Pleasantville’s girls’ track team placed eighth with a total of 46 points in their meet at West Marshall Thursday, finishing ahead of Baxter, Colo-Nesco, Meskwaki Settlement, and South Tama.

The Trojans had two top-three finishes, coming in one individual and one team event. The top-three finish in the individual event came from Kaylee Hodenfield, with a 33’8” throw in the shot put. Pleasantville also finished second in the 400 meter shuttle hurdle with a time of 1:18.39.

Pleasantville’s next meet will be Tuesday, which is the conference tournament at Van Meter. The meet will begin at 4:00 PM.

Pleasantville Boys Track Finishes Second @ PCM

Pleasantville’s boys track team finished second out of eight teams at the PCM Boys Invitational Thursday, finishing with 160 points.

The Trojans had six first-place finishes in the meet, including five individual events. Here is a list of the first-place finishes for Pleasantville:

Pleasantville Boys Golf Recap @ Moravia, Preview at Home

In an 18-hole meet at the Preserve on Rathbun Lake in Moravia, Pleasantville’s boys golf team came away with a team score of 419.

The Trojans were led by low scorer Carter Ollom, who finished with a 97. Jake Hiemstra at a score of 102, while Jaxx Lovell and Ryder Thill each scored a 110. Team scores are unavailable at this time.

Pleasantville will be back in action for a home meet today with fellow Marion County opponent Melcher-Dallas. The meet will begin at 2:00 PM.
