The Iowa Department of Transportation reported the westbound lanes of Highway 163 north of Leighton were closed Friday due to a multiple vehicle crash.

The collision occurred near Frisian Farms at the intersection of 163 and Fisher Avenue. The Iowa State Patrol, Mahaska County Sheriff’s Office, Pella Rural Fire, and Pella Ambulance have all responded, and at least one person has been transported to an area hospital with injuries.
