PCM Boys Golf Finishes Sixth in Knoxville
#7 in Class 2A PCM’s boys golf team finished sixth at Pine Knolls in Knoxville, finishing just ahead of Pella Christian.
A windy day hampered the Mustangs on the course, as their high golfer, #19 Andrew Mitchell, scored just an 85, 14 strokes higher than the medalist, Newton’s Ethan Walker. #12 Gatlin Boell finished second on PCM with a score of 91. The other two Mustangs that golfed below 100 were Grant Van Veen with a 99 and Brayden Berger with a 98.
The next meet for the Mustangs will be Tuesday, as they travel to Lincoln Valley Golf Course in State Center for their conference tournament. The meet will begin at 9 AM.
PCM Girls Golf Back on the Road at Knoxville
PCM’s girls’ golf squad will go to Pine Knolls in Knoxville for their final regular season meet Monday afternoon.
The Mustangs are coming off finishing seventh in their home tournament Thursday, which was their first 18-hole tournament of the season. Eleigh Davis finished as the low golfer for PCM with a score of 109. Riley Johannes and Tori Peterson each finished tied for second with 119.
The meet will begin at 4:00 PM at Pine Knolls Course in Knoxville.
PCM Soccer Preview @ Greene County
PCM’s soccer team will hope to shake off their loss to Bondurant-Farrar Friday as they travel north to Greene County for their next match Monday.
This will be the Mustangs’ second Heart of Iowa Conference match of the season. Their last match was April 13 when they were shut out 10-0 against Nevada. PCM is also coming off of a 10-0 shutout to Bondurant-Farrar Friday. The Mustangs currently sit at 2-7 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
The match will begin at Greene County High School at 7:00 p.m.
