Knoxville city parks are now open for the season. Parks and Recreation Director Brandon Nemmers encourages residents to enjoy their recreation opportunities, but has a few reminders for people to keep in mind.

“We’d really like people to find the trash cans, we have those out everywhere. That saves my staff time as they’re going around and cleaning up. Be mindful of the park hours. We have them posted from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. I think everyone is good at following that for the most part.”
