Opening arguments are set to begin in the trial of a Pella woman accused of killing her estranged husband’s girlfriend nearly one year ago.

The jury has been selected as Michelle Boat, 56, faces a charge of first degree murder, for the death of Tracy Mondabough of Ottumwa.

The Pella Police Department, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation following an arrest made in May of 2020. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for updates.
