Several Tulip City high school sports teams remain in the rankings as the postseason nears for the spring season.

The Pella boys soccer team ranks 5th in Class 2A, according to the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association, while the Lady Dutch have moved to 12th in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union poll.

Among tennis teams, the Pella boys are back up to No. 2 in Class 1A, as voted on by Iowa High School tennis coaches. Prior to their matchup Wednesday that went the way of the Eagles, Pella was ranked 5th and Pella Christian was ranked 6th among 1A girls tennis coaches.

In the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association metrics, the Pella boys have improved to 16th overall among Class 3A teams, paced by Junior Will Simpson, who has jumped to 7th in the individuals category. Simpson posted the second lowest nine-hole total in Iowa earlier this week at Grinnell with a 32.

Pella and Pella Christian high school teams return to action following Tulip Time on Monday, with the Little Hawkeye Conference golf and tennis championship tournaments, a home track meet at Pella High School for the Dutch and Eagles, and the soccer teams from Eagle Lane both on the road.
