Needed rainfall is in the forecast, starting later today and continuing through Sunday morning. According to the National Weather Service, 1 to 2 inches of precipitation is likely to accumulate, with the heaviest amounts beginning in the evening and continuing through the overnight across Marion and Warren Counties. The rain comes after the U.S. Drought Monitor Report upgraded the region to abnormally dry conditions two weeks ago. Daytime highs will top out in the upper 50s this weekend, with a gradual warm up daily throughout the week with little to no precipitation in the forecast. Temperatures back into the 70s are expected to return by Thursday. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
