The Knoxville boys Tennis Squad placed a close 3rd in the Ottumwa Invitational on Saturday finishing 2nd to the host Bulldogs and Maharishi who tied for the top spot with 27 points to Knoxville’s 24. Gabe Matthias placed 1st at #1 singles while Carter Short was 2nd at #2 singles. In doubles action, the team of Short and Jaxon Zuck placed 1st at#2, while Matthias and Andrew Orr teamed up in #2 doubles and placed 2nd. The Panthers will host the South Central Conference meet on Monday. The Knoxville Boys Soccer squad lost for the second time this season to class 1A #10 Albia 4-1. The Panthers lone goal was Kyle Davis off an assist from Connor Willis. Carson Irving has seven saves in goal. Knoxville is now 8-6 on the season.
