PCM Boys Golf Finishes Second at Colfax-Mingo

In their final meet before sectionals, PCM’s boys golf squad finished second by one stroke at the Colfax-Mingo Boys Invitational Saturday.

The Mustangs posted a score of 361, finishing behind just Newton. Two golfers finished in the top five for PCM. Grant Landgrebe finished third overall and first for the Mustangs with an 85. Placing fourth overall and second on PCM was Andrew Mitchell with a score of 87. Rounding out the top three for the Mustangs was Gatlin Boell, who scored a 93.

PCM will be back in action Friday as they travel to Bloomfield Golf Course in Davis County for sectional playoff action. The meet will begin at 4:00 PM.

PCM Soccer Looks to Get Back on Track at Albia

PCM’s soccer squad looks to get back to winning ways as they travel to Albia for their next match of the season Monday.

The Mustangs have struggled throughout 2021, posting a record of 2-8, including 0-2 in Heart of Iowa Conference play. PCM’s lone wins of the season came at Atlantic April 9 and at Chariton April 26. The Mustangs have been outscored in their last two games and in conference play 17-0. PCM also has been shut out five times throughout the season, including losing 10-0 twice. The teams that shut them out 10-0 are Nevada and Bondurant-Farrar.

The match will begin at Albia High School Monday at 7:00 PM.
