After 14 seasons as girls basketball head coach, Jim Uitermarkt has resigned. Uitermarkt led the Panthers to a 194-120 record in his 14 seasons as coach, winning five conference titles, and led the Panthers to the 2010 State Tournament. He also co-organized the school’s best-in-the-nation Coaches vs. Cancer fundraiser with his wife Angie each year. Uitermarkt stated that he wanted to spend more time watching his son play on the boys squad next season and told KNIA/KRLS Sports that it was time to let someone else take the reins. The search for a new coach will begin immediately.
